Confessed my Doubts to my Wife
by cantleave inwell - i today i had the opportunity to tell my wife i no longer believe in the things that i have spent my life immersed in and that i didn't want my life run by 9 geriatrics in brooklyn.. her reaction was understandable her first questions was "what have you been reading"?.
i didn't mention this site but told her i was shocked by something i heard regarding the wts's ngo status with the un, dissapointed by the new light on the generation and disturbed by the flip flopping on blood fractions.
i explained how these things were at best hypocritical and at worst have meant some people have lost their lives unnecessarily because of the societies previous position.

As far as I am concerned, this is the biggest of my concern : "do you believe that mankind is only 6000 years old?"
I would LOVE for someone to PROVE TO ME with FACTS, mankind is only 6000 years old. PLEASE. So I can go back to my meetings.
This is my biggest "stumbling stone".

- AUTHORITY : men - 100%, as in any other congreagation
- POWER : women - somewhere between 60%-80%, depending on the congregation

Portuguese get jipped
by JWinprotest innot sure if anyone else has heard, but here in the portuguese district that covers southern ontario and montreal had their convention cut from 3 days to 2 days.
when it was announced they told the congregation that they would be getting the same program in 2 days......but weeks later they were told that they could not take part in the invitation campaign because the theme of the public talk was printed on the flyer and they were not having a public talk.
does anyone know the reason why they would do this to just this one group?

by minimus inother than feeling "love bombed" when you first started associating with the "brotherhood", did you experience the "love" in your years within the organization?.
